G'day Lads,

Does anyone have any advice when it comes to repairs to the front subframe of an FC.

The one on the ute I am restoring is severely rusted in the two legs leading back to the floor and also really badly around the front rail (underneath the grille) where the outrigger on the front end bolts on (pardon the country slang).

I haven't had much luck tracking down a new sub frame but I do have a good half of one in the shed that could fix the rotten left side.

Any suggestions? Good site by the way.

Pete51, if your subfram is rusted into the area where the crossmember bolts in, you should probably think about discarding it as rust will be all over the inside of it and it will be very suspect in the future.

Front sections are fairly easy to fix but rear sections are best tacked into place whilst in the vehicle to ensure that they line up later
