rear discs on fc ute

gidday fellas, can anyone give me info on putting disc brakes on the rear of my fc ute as i have no idea where to start. cheers from gazza

Hi Gazza I have recently put a VH commodore disc brake rear end in my FC sedan which fits by shorterning and cuuting off all commodore brackets and welding on leaf spring saddles alternativly which I would suggest is to use a VN onwards disc brake rear end as they are stronger and have a wider variety of gear ratios but they are a little bit more expensive

hi mate.My fc sedan is running a volvo diff.
The track is the same and the stud pattern also,it has disc brakes and is pretty tough.They are a 3.54 ratio and all you do is cut the holden leaf spring saddles off your banjo housing and weld them to the vovlvos.Happy cruising.

There is another thread that covers the topic of the Volvo Diff. There are a number of ratios available (cheaper as the ratio gets lower) and two brands of diff, the main problem seems to be getting an LSD diff. The diffs seem to be good value for money though.
