We have been very busy this year - especially in the past 3-4 months  Building a replacement car for Kims VR Commodore ( now long gone).
The goal was to have a full monty professional resto on a FC with a redmotor/trimatic/ HR frontand rear end upgrade all done by Xmas..... we started on the car in earnest about  August- with many interuptions from customers. Well I'm happy to report - we registered the car today ....Xmas eve.... a full build up on this car can be veiwed at streetneat.com or in the members sheds galleries of oldholden.com under the album title of mrs streetneat.
This car has been the test mule for many a streetmachine  magazine article- witha few more pending ( ever wondered RET how you got  your site mentioned in streetmachine?....heh, heh, heh ....)
We realise that many veiwers of this site are not really in awe of what a professional shop turns out - sure we have facilities that many a home enthusiast dosent have - but in reality we are not really different to many of the enthusiasts of this site with what is achievable with a bit of planning......and a fair amount of sacrifice.
Hope you enjoy the pics as much as we enjoyed the building.

This is what we started with - we bought this January this year for $500. The fact that I was driving my FC ute when hailed down by a motorist  goes to show the benefits of DRIVING your cars.

What is going on around here!!??  Shocked

First, Fast Eddie and his rotisserie cause a stir of interest and then Ed comes in with Alfio's beautiful paint job and then.............this absolute cracker!

Excellent stuff Streets and what an informative pictography of the build on Streetneat.com.  Your misses must be stoked!

What is the top colour?

G'day there Emu.....
Well whats been going on is a marathon effort of FC building. We have dedicated a huge effort of working nonstop to acheive this....I feared if I stopped she would lose interest and move onto something else.... Kim had a massive input into the project - afterall it was her baby- and we constantly  recieved requests as you did for updates. I enjoyed watching Hildas extreme make over as well.
The car's colours are Terracota over Adobe beige..... or as close as we could get it.  Powered by a 186S and Trimatic. Cruzes well - the only thing I miss ATM is the Commodores Airconditioning.... However you feel pretty cool driving one of these FC's........
Stoking the missus is what we all strive for isnt it?.......Your right - she's one happy lass....now I might be able to turn my attention back to some of MY belated projects....just after I have a massive cleanout of the workshop....
