can anyone fill me in on the difference between the various bench seats for ute, sedan etc (they have different codes in the master parts catalogue)? Just taken mine out of the ute, taken the covers off and found what appears to be an ashtray mounting point on the back...suggesting maybe it isn't originally from a ute? Also did the auto EKs have a bench seat and, if so, would this fit on the FE/FC adjuster assemblies (this might help clear my CRS transmission tunnel which I think is modelled on the EK tunnel)?

thanks, jonno

EK hydramatics certainly came out with a bench (only had column mount shifter)

I'm pretty sure all the seats were the same - that is they all had ash tray mounts in the frame, but just not utilised in utes and vans.
EK seats will fit on FC runners, but I dont think it will help you with clearance problems, the only difference between FC and EK seats is that the EK seats are thicker through the seat base.
