I know this subject has been covered before and i have be going over time and time again the words and diagrams from people that have done it before, but I have spent a whole day on it and "I'm stuffed iif i can work it out. I have purchased a "VS" commodore wiper moter which only turns in one direction which is to the left when siting in the car, so with this "only turn left action in mind" how do i connect two wiper arms that need to work in opposite directions, ie to make the wipers move up the windscreen they both need to pull to the center which in a one direction moter i cannot see how its possible "all help please"

Mick If Kiwi cant help you, but I am sure he will be able to. I only changed the way that my wipper linkages fitted on to the motor. All my linkage set up is what the General put in the car in the first place. So get a good nights sleep and tomorrow, just take the linkage that use to fit on to the old motor and make it fit onto the new motor.

Cheers

There's a bit more info above in the  "2 speed wipers" post and should explain how to get the arms to turn as the should.
You've got my sympathy as I couldn't get my head around it either till I saw some pics. I had never seen the original electric set up either so had nothing to go on as well! :-/

FC wiper motor oscillates, all electric motors rotate.
FC wipers oppose each other whilst EJ onwards work in parallel
EK has opposing wipers with an electric motor - its the only Holden which does this from the factory.
What u have to achieve is an oscillating motion from a rotating motor.
Once you see how an EK motor works u can see what you need to do.
All you need is an EK motor to fit electric wipers to an FC
If u have an EK motor - I can convert it to 2 speed 4u
