That is great Blacky well done, looks like you could have just cleaned off the window and driven it round to the Transport Inspectors round the corner Wink

Love the original weathered look, and no rust that we can see from the pics Shocked

Look forward to seein it some time in the not too far future.  Thought you might be interested to know I have spotted an absotutely stunning two door FB hardtop getting around Perth lately, haven't had the pleasure of a closeup squiz but someone has spent alot of time and $ by the looks of it.

Nice score.
Looks like it would have taken a day to dig it out.
Congrats on the find.

It's a great feeling when you come across a find like that  Cheesy

Good on ya for grabbing this one, it's good to see it's gone to a good home.

Cheers,

Graham.

What a fantastic find, glad to see another old girl saved from the scrap metal dealer. Can't wait to see how she cleans up.  Smiley

Top find Blacky !

I hear what some people are saying about what she'll look like when all cleaned up.....but part of me finds it sad that yet another old holden has been uncovered and cleaned up...

I know this sounds weird.....but just think of the Euphoria and pure excitement that came over you when you found this uncovered ute.......I bet you got all excited ( as anyone would ), felt like you had just found gold and couldn't wait to drag it out of that shed....and who could blame you.....but now there is one less old holden to be found.
Sooner or later, there will be no more old holdens to discover, and that feeling of excitement will never be had again by anyone.

There's nothing more I love than a show condition hotted up or classic original old holden gleaming in the sun....but part of me also gets as much enjoyment, seeing an old beauty resting peacefully in a shed, just the way it has for the past 20, 30 odd years.

It's just a shame we can't have our cake and eat it too !

Well done Blacky....I'm sure you'll do the car justice, and no doubt look after it as if it were one of your own !

Cheers

I`ve been after this ute for four years , every year I would ring them and ask if they would sell it and it was "no ,I couldn`t sell dads ute" but persistance has paid off. The bloke bought it new and his daughter couldn`t bring herself to sell it , I promised her it was going to a good home and she relented.
