Its happened. Kiwi has arrived. Sarge picked up the small, flightless, bird at Brisbane airport in "Shwrek". (Hey Sarge, can ya post a photo of the sign ya held up?) He wandered into the Emu villa the next day and attracted a couple of my kids who had never seen New Zealand wildlife in the flesh. Apparently they found a Kiwi very cuddly. This is "Tuppence" and "Scraps" with "Kiwi"

We thought everything was going well with our "little" visit, until a removal truck pulled up! Anyway.... we took the Kiwi to meet Hilda. As soon as he saw her, the Kiwi started an industrial espionage campaign, trying to steal Sarge's secrets for his own evil advantage.

After we got the hack-saw out of his hand, he continued perusing the old girl with keen interest. I think we got him out of there without any damage to "Hilda" although I have been unable to locate a chrome indicator surround since the Kiwi's visit.

At the Barbee later that night, the Sarge came over for a few drinks and a chance to pay out on the Kiwi. We thought we had better get a shot of the three of us for posterity. So..... Sarge on the left, Kiwi in the middle and down and the Emu on the right. Ya don't realise how short a Kiwi is compared to an Emu until ya see it in a photo eh?

Trev, The removal truck was loaded with Kiwi stuff. We sent it away! Nice try. Remember the killer possum. Well kiwi thought it looked harmless and actually picked it up.

A bit later, we caught Kiwi performing this strange ritual. He called it "The Holden Harkah". I remembered some of the words which a Maori friend of mine translated to roughly say ........... "and curse all those who cruise in her"

I agree with Alex - very amusing reading.
Thanks.

Hey, Kiwi - thought you were going to give me a call. Won't the NZ sixpences fit in Aussie phone boxes? It can't be that the pockets are too deep - the legs ain't long enough.

We took the Kiwi to the QLD club meeting last night. No sooner had we sat down and he had his lap-top out and began lecturing on the benefits of lanolin products in Old Holden restoration!! He held the floor for 2 hours then dismissed us.

Shhhh dont mention Nationals, Kiwi will hear you. As he fly's out tonight, we dont wont him to have a reason to stay any longer than he has too. It's bad enough that the short round big nosed featherless no legged little ones going to come back. Cheers Sarge P.S. No seriously I would like to says its been great having Griag and his lovely wife Kath over and meeting them. Sadly this would only be half true, as Kath is a lovely person. So Kath please come back any time but no excess baggage. lol
