can anyone tell me if this is a successful swap and is the hk/g/t steering column the best option for this conversion. i was playing around with the idea of an early model toyota (sorry) column to move wipers and lights to column but need some advice from anyone who may of done such a conversion

yes have seen this set up years ago on a fj with red 6,
don't know about using Toyota column I think they used a
Datsun unit.
At present im sorting out a power steering ram unit for my FC using HG premier will hope to have this going by end of next week.

Hi Guys.

If you're going to the trouble of fitting a later column & a different steering box, why not consider a Toyota Crown or early Cressida POWER steering box.

The box will fit in just like a HK/T/G box but you will have modern power steering as well (instead of the old ram type). Add a pump & 2 hoses & you're done.
