Does anyone have a copy of the fitting instructions for a FC parcel shelf, or some close up photographs of the installation.

Is it possible to install it with a heater and an Air Chief?

My fax no is 02 9967 9924. Thanks

Regards

Here is a picture of all three fitted to a car.

another. And there is something different about this 1959 FC's interior.

Can anyone guess? ("experts" and the car's owner are excluded!!)

I thought that was some rare Nasco seat cover of some description. Also the door trims have three strips of vinyl, rather than two.

By the way Craig, thanks for the photograph. Can you tell where the bracket on the front corner attaches?

Come on Ace, that's too much of a clue!!

No, Edward, I'm not sure of the attachment point. Surely someone must have a copy of the instructions somewhere. Roll Eyes

Two interesting things in that pic Craig - Those hats were only given out to AHD staff and are pretty rare, so I'd guess it won't be going on the rear shelf eh?

How many clues do you guys need!!  Grin

It's definately not the hat, and someone has got close, but hasn't exactly picked the difference. This is a stock car, as it left the factory in 1959.

Ahh ,, The seat is from an FJ .
Or the guy in the window is definitely not from the late 50s.
Or Um the commodore seat belts were realy prototyped in the 50s and fitted to this car.

Or my final guess is that the roof height is way too high hehe

Trev has got it.

This car has factory fitted FB seat and door material. From memory even the headlining is the FB star pattern. The ID Plate trim code has the word "SPEC" stamped on it, indicating the rarity of this car. There was some discussion on the forum about this car a couple of years ago, but maybe one of the Vic guys can now give the full history?

Cheers,

Craig.

Ha ha.
Took em long enough, Craig!
I have seen that car before. I also have another picture here, which Ken sent me (Thanks again, Ken) & that has a "SPEC" interior as well (ID plate SPEC-700).

I do not know if you can blow it up from here to really see the detail.

Ummmmmmm, you won absolutely

NOTHING :-/

Sorry, but it is a very interesting car, basically a geniune 1959 GMH test vehicle. I'll wait to be corrected, but the story as I remember is that it is also painted in Acrylic using FB colours.

That certainly is an amazing picture Rob. Was this a '59 car as well?

More of these challenges would be good fun. Anyone else got something?
