I know it isn't FE/FC but this seems to be one of the most acive websites I've come across, so I'll ask the question here!  I have a FJ ute compliance plate, just wondering if I list the numbers here, if anyone can decipher the codes for me, I gather it's an Adelaide build.

FJ-2106-28316 A
Trim 168-506
Paint 253-7693

Thanks

Peter,

The FJ ID plates are the same as FE ones, and so it's no trouble to decipher:

FJ-2106-28316-A
The 28,316th FJ ute manufactured in Adelaide (as you suspected)

Trim 168-506
No such external trim number, if the paint number is right then I think this should be 158.  506 is the interior trim number for Taurus Red, which seems likely.

Paint 253-7693
Lacquer, Sky Grey

Hope that helps.  Don't thank me, thank Don Loffler (from whose book some of these numbers come Wink)

cheers
