I forgot to reply to this thread The dash surrounds have been in for a while but since it is being sold as a kit with screws, they were waiting for one particular short screw that goes in the bottom of the dash surround. It had to come from the USA. Seems amazing that it was not available in Australia. Ken

G'day all, I have just returned from picking up the new dash facia from Rares Prospect. I've done a test fit on dash panel and it fits really well. The only thing I had to do was ream out the screw holes a little to get the screws started, then fitted it up. Hopr this will soothe some of your nerves. Regards Jim

Them custom made screws were tight maybe they could have got some at the local shop the right size..

Looking it up in the parts book : Instrument Panel Shield round head cross recess tap. type "BT" No. 6--- 20 x 3/8" part number 273866 x 4 can figure out all but "BT" still only have FE so dont know about these later models and modern features Cheers Stewy

"BT" means that the screw has a cut out in the start of the thread specifically for screwing it into plastic where a normal screw would split the plastic - this is why the screws could not be sourced here - they are a special plastic screw

Club price was $70 they have two different size screws, three for the top & sides and a longer one for the bottom. As I said yesterday I found the part fitted fine, it looks great and was worth the wait. Now it will have to wait for the rest of the car so I can see how good it all looks. Jim

Finally turned up at Rares ROX/PARK thanks to KEN and his patience.It is so lite and fits so good i will just silicone it on ,worth the wait.
