If you put torana front discs on the HR front end It adds to your original  wheel track width.
If you put a narrow ( LJ ) diff housing in, it subtracts from your original wheel track width.
For a legal blue plate,  front and rear track have to be pretty close, I think 1/2 inch.
Can this be solved be using different offset wheels front and rear?  Or . Is it back to the drawing board?

Wheel track is exactly what it states. It make no difference what the width of drums or rotors is - it is the wheel track which is measured.
