Here is a picture of the contents of my July 1959 wagon's toolkit. The question is - what should and shouldn't be there? Is anything missing? And is it an original jack?

I agree with Mike on all but the jack. Note that the sedan jack is different to the wagon/van/ute jack.
The wagon/van/ute had a bottle jack like the one pictured and the owners manual clearly shows that it doesn't have a pull catch at the bottom like the later model ones do. The pic in the owners manual does not show a decal although it looks maybe like an artist touch up rather than a real photo. What does it say on the decal exactly?

Thanks Gary, your jack looks in much better condition as well. Graham the orange screwdriver has Turner T104 written on it, and the blue one has Turner T134. The Orange handle screwdiver is correct my dad has the 1 from my car and won't give it up YET.But it is a turner.

Graham - I agree, I'm not sure about the screwdriver now. It should have "TUFLITE" and "Turner AUSTRALIA" moulded on the handle as well as "TURNER 103" stamped on the handle. Also the handle does not taper down it is the same size 3/4 of the way down and then it has a scallop where the thumb & index finger would sit when using it.
The screwdriver pictured looks like an EH to HR version.
I'm sure the jack is the right one.

Ken,
Here's a close up of the orange screwdriver. It definately does not have the taper of the one in the other photo, so it is more than likely a different non-original one.

Hi Craig, The only thing I can't see in the pic is the crank handle for the jack.
When I purchased our green FE sedan way back in 1980 it had that jack in the boot with all the other tools.
At that time I thought it was the original & went to the trouble of re painting it & even repainted the sticker by hand.
I will now use it in the wagon tool kit when completed.
At the next swap meet you go to, have a look through any small hand tools you come accross, I have found 2 correct screwdrivers this way as they often were retained or became seperated from the cars through the years.

Thanks Ken and Gary for your interest.
The orange screwdriver has Turner 104, but interestingly the blue one is also a Turner, and has 134.
I have the crank handle for the jack, it too looks like it is the original but unforntunately it has quite significant rust, which has eaten through the surface. I'll sandblast it and see what I come up with.
And that's a good tip about swap meets Gary- much appreciated.
