FC Holdens & Mini Coopers....Cars of the Century

I may be wrong here ( but I don't think so )....

Last night I was watching TV and on came a commercial for TELSTRA.   It was a bit like a history of life starting off in 1954 with a shot of the old FE Holden parked in the garage ( a red one ) and a guy out the front of his house ( or something like that ), and then the next shot was in 1974 , then 2004 ect ect.

Don't quote me on the correctness of the dates too much, as I was bewildered to see an FE Holden in the shot that flashed up 1954 on the screen !

1954 hey....Telstra families must have been ahead of themselves, as the FE was still on the drawing boards of GMH in 1954.....or am I wrong ?

I've only seen the ad once last night, and to register an FE holden was in the ad, let alone work out the dates were wrong, took me long enough...by the time I put 2 and 2 together, the ad had finished, so it may have even been an FC which makes it even further from the truth.

Has anyone else seen the ad......maybe we should ring Telstra and ask them who's car was this built before it's time FE/FC Huh

Cheers

Mark

I was having a flick through one of my dads fishing mags and there is an ad there for pink fishing line which shows one fe/fc (not sure) apparently towing another with the line.  The problem is the ad says the pink is the strongest line since 1898!!

Harko,

You may well praise the technology/logical thinker mix, but what I want to know how Mal managed to photograph himself taking a picture of the tv?  Huh Tongue
