should i have the front subframe on the car when replacing the front floor pans and transmission hump (to suit turbo 700) any help would be great

Not sure of the CORRECT answer, but I can tell you, I replaced both my front floor pans and the subframe was OFF !

Just remember to only do 1 floor at  a time, to help retain as much rigidity as possible, otherwise if you take out both floors at once, the body could twist, and you'll have dramas for ever and a day trying to line things up.

The last edition of Streetmachine, shows a Tunnel replacement and Chassis kit fitment for a Commodore Gearbox into a EK ute , and they didn;t remove, the engine, crossmember, or subrame...so it can be done with it on as well !

It's worth getting the magazine, as it has some good underbody pics.  It helped me when fitting my chassis kit !
