Hi Guys

was just wondering if anyone knew if an EH horn button fitted the standard FC wheel.  They look far better than the FC one and I have the chance to buy one in very good condition.

thanks

They what?

Ignoring the question of taste, take yours off and line up the backs of them and see whether they are the same diameter or not.  I suspect they probably are, but the position of the locating lug might be different (I know FB/EK ones have it at the opposite end to the FE/FC one).

However nice the EH one is, being flat I don't think it will look quite right, if only because the original ones follow the curve of the horn-ring itself.  Your car tho, not mine, so you should do whatever you want.

cheers

Ahhh no, actually it isn't.  An FB/EK one is the same shape as FE/FC.  It has the Holden lion, with the southern cross around it, with either a green or blue stars and a black background:

The EH one is the same image as FB/EK, but flat with a red background and black edge:

Sounds like what you've been offered is an FB/EK one.  They fit, but upside down.  You have to file the locating lug off to make it fit on an FE/FC horn ring.

A good condition FE/FC one is still nicer (see attached image)
Hope that helps,

As RET said it sounds like a FB-EK horn button.
A EH horn button is smaller in diameter than a FC one and looks best on a EH  or EJ. Wink
