First of all i would just like to say g'day to everyone on the discussion board.  I recently became a member but haven't posted as i have been trying to learn as much as i can from previous posts.

Anyway, to the matter at hand.  I went to the burwood classic car show/meet today and i loved it.  I have been looking at selling my piece of rice for a little while but don't have many options.  I only bought it because i am 6'7" and so don't fit in many cars and needed something to get my license(it was just about the only one i could find for under 10k).   I immediately saw the love god's fe and thought it was sensational, however alf wasn't there so i did a lap of the cars and when i returned i introduced myself.  He was all to willing to speak to me about everything fe or fc, even letting me get in and see if there was enough room (there was) despite my reluctance (it just looked to good to get in and i didn't want to scratch anything).  The outcome of this run in with rosie (i think that's her name) is that i have been converted.  I was idealy looking at getting an fc but i think i will now focus my efforts on finding an fe.

On that point if anyone knows of someone who is looking to sell a restored fe with rego, hr front end and 186 red motor (prefer auto) then please let me know!!!

Thanks everyone.  I just had to give the car and alf a huge wrap.

You are C orrect !

Hey Oz-Man....do you want to join the WA FE/FC club ?

Doesn't matter where you live.....even Kiwi ( yep, from NZ ), is a member.

Our President would love to see another FE enthusiast in the club....I think from memory, we have 1 FE and 30 odd FC members.

Make sure you post some pics when you find your car...here's hoping you get behind the wheel of your own FE real soon !

Cheers

yeah well just to serve it back to you blown_fc.  This may require some imagination (no offence anyone).

FE = F@#%ing E xcellent

FC = F%&*ing C ommon

In truth i think that they are both great looking cars and i would jump at a chance to own either however, i was just making the point that i would prefer an FE.

I own one of each,but I think over the last two years Fe's have started to become more popular.
At our last Vic show and shine,from memory there where more Fe,s than Fc,s.
I personally like Fe,s more

My 2cents worth,Cheers Geoff

Finally Complete

I think we all have our reasons for a particular model and it usally has nothing to do with looks, mine is my first memory of waiting outside a caryard in Sydney whilst dad was inside arranging to take delivery of his 'new'(to dad anyway) FC holden sedan. Hence why I like the this car. dads no longer around but the FC is.

How about a prototype for the all conquering FC?

Was that a 50% market share in 1959......?
