Hi.
I see what you mean, RET. But I think I know what it is for. It is a set up similar to the "Batmobile". Whenever anyone looks as if they are going to pass him, he squirts a bit of fuel out onto the track & the following car goes into an uncontrollable skid!!
Maybe. Wink

i like the paint too,

is that the shape of one of the trim kits of the day?

which trim kits were around in late 57?

Cheers

It's not an exact match, but very similar to quite a few of the kits.  Both the Detroit and the Victoria had that down-and-up-again style on the back door.  This one is very reminiscient of mid-50s Buick.

One of these days I'll get around to doing a page documenting the Tilli's kits available for the FE and FC.

cheers

Nice looking car.
The colour choices are unusual, but they work very well together. Now about those rear wheelarches.......that's just plain butchery!!
Thanks for the pics.

just saw this car on the weekend on a car tralier, some young guy bought it off the internet, paid $2000.NZ for it

I was out in mine when he pulled me over to look at it.
His needs a LOT of work rust and HEAPS of bog in all the right places, its been set up for a V8  god help us, as the cars got no streighting kit and when you open the doors they drop about 2'' no boot floor, and worst of all eh drums on frontend!!!
yet this car has been driven around with a 350 chev under the bonnet'
so much for our strict W.O.F and rego laws.
looks like we may have a new kiwi joinng the forum.
