Blacktown Auto-Pro had a display at this show with two FC Special Sedans that they are in the process of restoring.  These are going to be given away in a competition to celebrate the 45th anniversary of their shop.  They're both '59 models, too.

cheers

Here are some other pics from the day:

Our cavalcade of cars.  Note the impressive Steptoe and Son backdrop - one of the larger club displays there and look at the primo spot we're given. Roll Eyes

Check out the way this racer has had the grey head drilled to route water back to the radiator.

I had hoped to get a better picture of this restored race-car when the weather cleared, but it didn't happen.  When the rain was about, this concours race car - there's no other way to describe it - was under a car-cover.  It's grey-powered - do the carbies on the driver's side intrigue you?

Yes, that's right, Repco cross-flow head.

Thanks to the guys from the Vintage Racing Club for their time on the day.  We had a great old yak about getting serious mumbo out of a grey motor.

cheers
