Hi Jason,
Your results are awesome... i really dig the fusion between old and new.. it's done with such class!!
The benchmark for re-powered old holdens has just sky rocketed one mile high I believe.
how about an engine shot please please..
I still haven't installed those parts I picked up at Maccas that night.. seems like eons ago.

Hi Shayne, I used the Hadfield half chassis on the car as well as his front end... The Half chassis I would recommend but would definately do a different front end. The rest of the work was my own. cheers Jason.  |

Hey Jason,
Your pics seem to have disappeared.
Did you move their location on starphoto? I learnt the hard way by shifting my photos around that the link will go to the blank spot where ya photo used to be, or will link to the photo that you put in its place.
Know what I mean?
Maybe there's another reason they're gone.

Hey Emu,
I think that starphoto plays up a little, which means that the photo's are offline for a while.
Not enough nutrients in Kiwi eggs is there??

Hey guys... Not sure what is happening at StarPhoto.. they seems to be playing around again... I just posted a couple of pics. It took me a while to work out, but I think the "~" that was introduced a couple of months ago, that goes in the photo's address, to make the pic appear, seems to be no longer needed....   Not sure what's going on... probably will change back again next week... Hope that helps... Les... |

The FE Van is absolutely fantastic it looks sensational a credit to you. I am a stock fella but there is no doubt that you have done a wicked job well done again and look forward to seeing it at Jindabyne.

love it what more can you say. i have two vans in need of resto. ill rephrase that one van and a shell which has full side windows like a hurse. the body you started with to create this visual masterpiece had side windows how did you replace window sections including vents. cheers Scott

Hi Scott, The side pieces were made at a metal shop by putting the bottom edge onto the steel and then rolled to the same shape at the van. The pieces to be fillled were then cut to shape and the new pieces tacked in. This was probably the hardest thing I did on the van. So would suggest a slowly slowly approach. The vents were made for me by John Gilbert of Just Rust in W.A. and were fitted to the car last of all. Hope this helps Cheers Jason.  |

Hey Jas. What a treat your van has turned out to be. It's awesome to see it develop and to end up looking as stunning as it does. Go the vans. More inspiration for myself to finish mine. Thanks
One question for you is the air filter. In some of your earlier shots it looked like you were going to run the ducting through the l/hand inner guard. Were you planning on it sitting under the guard or through in front of the vehicle. If you were going to do it like this could you let us know why you didn't. This is what I'm going to do if possible.

Hi Miikael, I did have the duct through the side of the inner guard, but was worried about getting water in the filter. I had tried to buy one with a protective guard but didn't quite work. The other thought was to totally surround the filter and then run a duct to the front of the car for cold air induction, but in the end just got too tight at the front and access to the filter for maintenance was a problem. So I shelved the whole idea, cut out the welded pipe that i had there filled the hole and put the filter inside the car. It makes a little noise under the bonnet, but I'm not too worried... Even a few people have asked if it is supercharged because of the noise... Not yet anyway!!! Just remember anything is possible... and in the end I went for ease of maintenance and simplicity. Thanks jas for the info on your side window replacement. I might just have the complete sides made up minus the vents . one of those mods that you would have to no the shape of the vans to really notice them missing. cheers Scott
