my new FC finally arrived today, pretty bad rust in sills dreading getting underneath after looking under rear seat, but heh you have to start somewhere and it does have neatly fitted HP block red engine and traumatic, with tbar, no keys and locking petrol cap,no battery ,so i got the spare out and tried to fire it up noticed smoke coming from wiring under dash so pulled battery lead, found little alloy tube fuse that was red hot so will have a look tomorrow.

Hi Nicko,

Good to see you got the old girl home, you look to be off to a great start. Cheesy
Best of luck with the rebuild, hope you post some progress pic's as you go along.

And talking of rust in the sills my car is a daily driver and has that much rust in the sills I am afraid to slam the doors incase the sills drop off in a pile of dust, so I guess what I am saying is "I know where you are cuming from". Tongue

Cheers Steve.

heh yeah i forgot those couches look great,so theres always somewhere to go if it all gets too much, but i think it will hit the road sooner rather than later, yeah the headlight is in the boot but no keys so will force off the petrol cap soon, already found a key that fits ignition, heh Norm i think i will use different wheels as i will need a flare like your race car to cover these.

Great to hear Nicko - when I spotted your post saying you had got the car I reluctantly read it and was very surprised to see there was no horror story stemming from the transporters .
Good stuff mate.
Put a $tag on those wheels and I think youve got a sale hehe then you could arrange yet another freighter to carry em back where they came from hehe

im leaving the car carrier story for another time ,the wheels have been slotted at each hole so would be a bit hard to sell, besides i dont have matching front ones, tried to bypass the fuse and wiring started to smoke so dont know what was done to it by car carriers,as it was driven onto truck but when i got it home ,"hey presto"
the gremlins had pinched battery ,keys, and shoved a set of forks under body when they could not start it. thanks for the magic show TNT only wish your magicians knew how to make the stuff reappear
