I reckon he's filling in his log-book And IMHO it's a panel van that's been fitted with indicators. There don't appear to be pillars behind where the rear doors would be, and the pillars at the rear look too wide for a wagon. That's a big pane of glass in the tray area - in fact it looks a lot like the glass in Dean's FC (member FC2104, see this thread here http://www.fefcholden.org.au/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=album;action=display;num=1072854614). Also, the mirror on the driver's side guard is one of the original equipment ones fitted to Vic and WA built vans and utes to meet local road authority requirements. That's my opinion, anyway cheers RET

I reckon he's either reaching for his sunnies, because the sun looks like it's getting pretty low as "he rides off into the west".... or he could be looking for his balaclava... As for it being a Panel Van... the thought hadn't really crossed my mind until I was posting the pic.... mainly the lack of side trim on the front door had me thinking it could've been a standard wagon, but it still had indicators, the sun visor and side mirror, not to mention the bonnet bird.... Cheers...

I would say he is one of those new mexicans that just moved to the main land, all the way from Tasmania and he is lost in the expanse of the Australian outback.
He is looking at his 1956 explore Austraila book trying to find which red dirt track he is on.

I reckon he's looking for the dynamite to blow up the bowser as it was out of fuel and who knows where the next petrol pump is.

I think........this pic was only taken last week, and the young teenager who found himself driving this FE after the car rental place had no other cars available, spent 2.5 hours looking for that darn petrol cap release switch...... Regards Alex

geesh , that "Shell sign" is high enough , but I suppose you'd need it that high so people could see it 50 miles away. What's he doing ? Asking the chick to get her feet out of the steering wheel so he can get some petrol .. Norm
