Has anyone out there replaced the lower steering box seal and if so how did you go about it? From what I have read in the manual it maybe possible to disconnect the pitman arm and remove the sector shaft from out the top of the box. Any suggestions on replacing the seal without removing the steering from the car would be much appreciated.

As the manual suggests, u must remove the pitman arm and steering shaft to replace the seal.  But u can do this with the steering column still in the car.
