Here's one of the SSR style gauge holders, as mounted in Faecal.  They are an excellent accessory, and when painted the same as the dash really look like they belong there.

You do need to take a little care when grabbing under the dash for the handbrake.  I've taken a couple of layers of skin off enough times to know! :-/

OK smart arses.  I took that photo for ChrisB, who was interested in a set of SSR gauge holders at one point.  When I got the pictures off the camera I did think to myself, "Hmmm, I should fix that redline needle".  It was set at that point about 12 years ago because that's 60 kph, and the speedo never worked.  (In those days Faecal still had the Datto 1600 box.)

However, for about 18 months now she's actually had a functioning speedo, so you'll all be pleased to know the red line has proudly sat at about 7000 rpm for about a month.  But in any case, 2000 or 7000, it doesn't make the slightest difference to how much of a flogging that old dear gets
