Doesn't SOP stand for 'Spirit of Progress', a train that ran between Melbourne & Albury 1937-1962, then Sydney-Melbourne 1962-1984? http://www.victrip.com.au/photo_archive/spirit.html

I haven't seen that one, I was refering to the NRNR- No Root, No Ride, not really the sticker you want if your car is chockers with blokes though. Hey norm, Ive seen your cars twin when I was a young fella at the Blactown city festival (Sydney NSW) probably in the mid eighties, for me it was the highlight of going to the festival, it was actually a race car that would rumble around in the parade, finished in yellow with big flares simular shape to yours. I should have taken a pick, I would have been in primary school at the time.

Hey Leon,
That's not Norm's car's twin, that was the very beast in question!
Have a root around in the members cars section, you'll find pictures and the story of it in there.
cheers RET

Leon RET's Right , Iv'e also got a video of that parade with the exahusts only a few feet from the camera. <- - - - This pic was taken in Lander Ave ,just off Richmond Rd , a few weeks before the parade and was sign written the next day. After the parade it was parked in Campbell st , the following year it was parked in Donnellan Pl. I used to own the Music Shop there. (info of car in "Real Cars" Racing FE/FC,s) Norm

Wow, Thats it, I often wonder what happened to this car I was also in the parade on a BMX bike for blacktown city BMX club, at the time my uncle was doing up a FC van as a FE on Lucas Rd in Seven Hills, dont know if you ever saw it but it was almost in Blacktown. I remember drawing pictures of the car at my Nans house after the festival., From memory it sat on Avon race tyres and sounded pretty cool, I was probably in year 4 or 5 at school at the time. I feel that little bit better now knowing that the car still exists. I think Ill have to find the full story and check it out.
