Nice pix, they've got quite a collection there, haven't they?

That ute is a bit of a bitser, tho, isn't it?  FE ute with FC side trim and EJ hubcaps?  Maybe they're trying to advertise the range of Holdens they have at the museum all in one promotional vehicle! Grin

That FE sedan looks nice, and the flash on that FC is quite a rare one too.  It's called a "Styletone".

cheers

Hewart...great 'WRECK' pics......as you may or may not know, I'm putting together a CD of old Holden Wrecks for people on this site.......do I have your permission to copy your pics to include on the CD ?

For those who have shown interest in this CD, you'll be pleased to know it's coming along nicely, with around 100 pics already on the CD......If I don't get heaps more in the coming weeks, I'll just make copies of what I've got, and maybe do another one down the track.

Cheers

Hey Mark,

Want this one? It was one that I got my front end out of. If you like I can give a little history with it.

Cheers

Mark...
As for the wreck pics... go for your life... use whatever you like.... I did read about the CD and have sent a couple more pics to you... hope they come through OK.

Richard...
Not too sure about the FE ute being an "all sorts"... but talking to the guy inside the museum, he reckoned the Ute was originally from South Australia (like the FC Sedan) and both trims were done by a company there way back around the 56-58 era. He did tell me the name of the company involved, but I've since forgotten it. I did mean to drop him a line, and will do once I've run a few of the pics in our newsletter (Grey Matters) and I'll ask him again.... I didn't know the name of the FC trim, so thanks for that too. I reckoned the trim looked great!!!

and Jason...
Not sure why the pics from StarPhoto aren't linking up like they used to... I know I had a fair bugger of a time loading these 3 pics up originally...:-/ I ended up shrinking them down as attachments as I couldn't work it out..... anyone else had that happen lately...??

Cheers

Hewart,

Great scrapyard photographs.  Interesting to see that the yard also cut up steam locomotives.  Are the remains in the foreground an E class, a Y class or a D3 class?  I'm guessing a Victorian yard.

Cheers

Les
The photos look great and the cars are excellent.

That FE ute must have been the proto-type for the FC Special.

I am of to Adelaide on Monday week and will be making the trip upto the mill with camera in hand.

Cheers Jim
