Guys, I need to replace my cross member support thingys, that are under the bottom of the 'B' Pillars...i think they provide support for the B Pillar, and are only smallish in size....

They are welded to the inner sill and the floor pan sits on top of them also....

Mine are cactus, and was wandering if anyone had some good ones or can tell me where to find new ones ??

Thanks Guys

Mark

Mark,

I think they are an integral part of the "side sill jacking system", and from the FE Owners Manual it mentions, "sedan only".

Therefore, one could assume that as they didn't have them on wagons and commercials, (according to the book - too late and wet outside to check my van) you could "delete" them and not worry about it.

On the other hand, I could be completely wrong, and your whole car may break in two when you drill out the spot welds......

Hope I've assisted!

Regards

Edward

mark       is the section you are referring to , the channel that runs  full width of the car on the highest point of the floor? if it is ,its not a jacking point, but just a floor strengthening rib.   i think it would be ok to get the section reproduced by a metal fabricator & weld it in.
                            cheers trev
