Hi Team,

you've all been entertaining me and helping me complete my "fcfromscratch" over the last couple of years... lots of valuable input on my questions and several bits and pieces have made their way WEST by Australia Post....for that I say thankyou!!

well I've finally got the ol' girl on the road, all legal like...I've shown some photos to the WA club folks as they were beginning to wonder whether this car really existed...so here's some for you guys....

thanks Trev,

it's not concourse by any stretch, but should be a very nice looking daily driver.....

quite a few little trim things to finish off.....but the best thing is that all the HR mods I've done have been successfully permitted

my "retro" plates for the car will read "XFC 202" in black lettering on white background....

I'm after some chromed wheel trims for the black rims to supplement the HR caps.....and I think I'm getting whitewalls for Christmas  Grin

You can see I need to find some seat surrounds as well.....particularly the uprights.....

oh well, it's been nearly 5 years so far, a few more weeks/months won't hurt....there's a big swap meet next weekend, I'll see what I can find there.....haha

Love the white/white interior - cant remember seeing that done before 2 such good effect.  Why not get a set of FB/EK seat surrounds - will look good painted up to match the seats.

Thankyou guys...but like I said, it wouldn't be where it is today without this forum to lean on...

Ken, I was going to do FB-EK seat surrounds but unfortunately I had the upholstery done about 2 years ago and didn't realise that those seat surrounds don't go as far up as the plastic ones....so the rear corners of the seat uprights haven't been "finished" as they were supposed to be covered all the way......I could get the seat back re-done (got enough vinyl to do 2 more cars yet) but the upholsterer isn't around anymore.....there are others, I know, but they'd be playing with someone else's work and you know where that leads....haha

I like 2Brite's finish where the FB-EK surrounds have been clad in the same material as the seat fabric.....looks real cool.....onya 2Brite!!

I'm hoping to get the rims done in the same green as the car (these are the brand new HR rims from R.O.H.) and then, chrome trims....and whitewalls........

regards....Brad
