The guy I got it off was not interested in anything on the car except he wanted me to cut out this unusual tag that was fixed to the dash .

It also has quite an unusual heater/demister setup . Does anyone know anything about this type of setup . Its an AIRBOOST. And it seems to draw in air next to the Radiator thru quite a large hole with mesh over it to act as a filter.

Hi Slim.
The heater is a Smiths accessory heater. There are 2 in the club down here with them (one FE & one FC). They were available for use in any car in the 60's. I have seen them in an old Humber & a Morris.
If you are interested in selling the set up, let me know. I would like sommething like that for my wagon, instead on the beehive one I have.

The heater is a Smiths Slim-Line.  My very first FC had one, and I have the original fitting instructions for it.  They are a great unit because there is no water in the cabin.  There's an external heater mounted on the driver's side inner-guard, and a 5" hose that runs over the motor into the blower unit mounted on the passenger's side firewall.

The only problem with the one I had (still have, actually) is the hose had a few tears in it and the smell into the cabin from the motor was pretty dangerous, so I couldn't really use it.

hope that helps,

My Dads old TK Bedford Truck had the same heater set-up in it. Believe me it done the Job on those bloody cold Melbourne mornings.
