G'day guys  !
I'm looking for a part or advice for an Fc ute trim. I circled the missing bit on the photo. I don't think  I will find one. Anybody knows somebody who can make this from stainless steel ? Preferably in Brisbane

Hi Laszlo, I take it this trim piece is longer than the one on a sedan. Have you thought about using the sedan one and welding on an extension i.e. the piece from a sedan rear door to get the length required? Doug

Hi Lazlo. I used the trim from a wagon & used the cover piece from a sedan rear window to cover the gap created by the rear door.  There are people out there that do what you are looking for. One person approached me @ a show stating that he could make me a continuous  moulding. I didn't follow it up, however, as I used the cover slip & told myself that this is what HOLDEN did anyway! Maybe google s/steel mouldings & go from there. Kevin.

Hi Alex. There was a Carl Mills in Lismore who did this.....must the same person!  Water from the floods went  over the premises he worked from. [Conroy St from memory]. Maybe he  has relocated. Carl used to enter his Chev @ our annual car Show in Ballina. I think it was Carl who said he could make me a continuous moulding. Hope he is still in business.  Kevin.

Thanks Guys !

I just talked with Carl a minute ago, he is back to work in the past 5 weeks. In the February flood his house and the workshop went under.
He asked me for some photos and measurements of the trim and he will try to make it.
Nice bloke !

Back again. We decided with my son  Dean, we go  the hopefully easier way with the trim.
We will use the sedan trim from the front door. Will be a bit shorter than the whole rear panel of the ute, but because the ute has the " Special"  sign on it I think will be ok

Anyone has a spare pair for sale ?

Cheers : Laszlo and  Dean

On the second photo Dean an his friend trying the trim for his ute.

Thanks Alex !

I think we will do the same. The only difference we will have the "Special " sign too.

Ken, I can see you've been "short" of side trim too.... Smiley

Do you know what blue was your Fc ?

Cheers  : Laszlo

Ps. My son has a Vh Commodore with a Ford  blue paint.
And now the Fc ute with a Mazda sky blue. My Fe sedan is a '96 Honda Prelude bordeaux red.
So all over the place.

I’ve been trying to find a record of the colour but can’t find it. I’m pretty sure it was a Holden colour, but my memory refuses to divulge the name
