Hello Bill,

The big build is on hold due to a 3 month old and the other rolling shell I started preparing needed more money spent on it than it cost to purchase this new one.

Needs some love but it’s a running, driving car on full rego without engineering so I can’t complain.

Has been a local car with the previous owner  who did majority of the mods 30+ years ago.

HR front & rear
186
3 speed all synchro
Shortened FC column with original steering box

Very good pickup Ben. Shortened column probably from an FB or EK I presume.

A question if I may, regarding the shift mechanism for the all syncro. Floor shift or adapted column?
Cheers
Clay

Hello Clay,

It's the original column that the car came with from factory but was shortened/modified to suit the steering box by the previous owner.

3 speed is floor shift with modified tail shaft etc to suit but will shortly be coming out and swapped for a 4 or 5 speed.

Cheers

Thanks Ben. I missed the bit about different steering box. I believe the HKTG boxes give a less direct ratio.

I get that you’re replacing the box. Only reason I’d go the three speed would be to keep gears on the column with syncro on first.

It had to pass a roadworthy to change it from club rego back to full rego.
