Hi, I would like to ask your advice on obtaining a pair of the chrome strips that run down from the rear tail lights to the bumper on the FC special sedans.
1. how much are these things worth (a) in good condition and (b) if they need work and require rechroming etc.

Old Mable didn't come with these on her and its the only chrome she is missing. I wanted to get an idea of what they are worth before posting in parts wanted.

Regards Rod

Rod ..They are not chromed ,they are stainless steel and will polish up beautifully ,stove and saucepan cleaner is great .when you find them just check that the 3 lugs on each are intact ,they just push into three slots in the body and then bend over on inside ,NO screws or clips ,if lug is broken off ,wont sit flat ..I don't have spares ..sorry ..Vern

Don't worry too much about missing tags  they can be reproduced
l remember  someone on the forum making them
lm sure l  have  a spare one somewhere but it would be buried deep in the spares
have no access to it at the moment

I have one somewhere if you need it ,but you may be able to make them from the stainless strips off VW Bug in the early 70's as the profile is the same however you will need heat to bend the tops around .

I would have thought 70s Bug bits are harder to find than genuine Holden..
