G'day Nick, Try holding the jaws of the puller together with a G clamp or wire. Then when you tighten up the bolt a bit hit the head of the bolt with a hammer to relieve the tension.Continue this process and the pitman arm should come off.

Nick just found this one i had stashed tried it on the wagon it fits perfect ill post it in the morning.
