bucket seat under floor plates

the plates that go under the floor when fitting bucket seats, how big do they have to be? I know seat belt ones are 75x75 with rounded corners.

Has the minimum size for seatbelt mount backing plates changed . We did 75mmx50mm with a wheel nut welded to the back as we were told 360mm was it .

Depending on your choice of seats, you could look at EJ,EH, HD or HR premier inside floor plates as they have the standard mounting holes.

I am fitting ss commodore seats have made the out side bracket which mounts to existing holes. I have to make plates up for inner seat rail mounts.

Hey Fred, I'd be inclined to run a 100x3 mm plate the length of the seat. This would more than satisfy the engineers as there would be very little chance of pull through. Set it up and put 3-4 plug welds on each side to hold the plate to the floor so it does'nt fall off when you remove the seats.

OK got an answer in qld it can be any shape as long as it has a surface area of 150mm and no sharp corners and at least 3mm thick. I used 150x32x3mm. I now have the drivers bucket seat fitted.
