What can you use to shine up chrome?  My car's chrome bits are looking very dull, but I don't know what's best to use.
Cheers, Carla

It's amazing what Edel-ChromGlanz "Auto-Sol" can do for even the most ordinary looking chromework.  You can buy the stuff at virtually any Repco / AutoOne / SupaCheap Auto etc.  Just ask for Auto-Sol, it comes in a large toothpaste container.

Meguaires do a metal polish (smells nice too), there used to be a product called Blue Magic aswell, I always found Autosol to be to gritty which might put extra scratches in.

Hi, Restoration mobs use damp newspaper dipped in white wood ash(out of the fire place, nothing tricky)to polish up metal on antiques.Works OK, depending on the amount of oxidisation or rust, and dosen't scratch anything. Cheers  Tony
