fitting boot lock

had trouble trying to fit my boot key lock ( two hours  )

seems to be a common problem if you go by the threads on here

so I come up with this , worked first time , don't know if it was a fluke or not .

still had my wife hold in and down the lock I placed the retainer up to the boot lid and tapped it n with a hammer , went in first time

Just yesterday I also spent about two hours getting nowhere fast.
Took a break and over a cup of tea came up with a similar idea, just used the flat stick and masking tape to attach the clip.

Also had the wife assisting which never goes well!

you know what they say

find the hardest job you can , give it to the laziest person you know and he will find the quickest & easiest way to do it
