After purchasing my FC months ago and working on her feverishly to get her registered Id like to show you "Mable". She spent her life in Toowoomba Queensland and will now spend the rest of her life in Canberra ACT. Passed her full registration check yesterday and has a brand new set of numberplates.

Thanks to Ken (mcl1959) and Dave (fcute) for all your support, advice assistance and spare parts. I am forever grateful.

Regards Rod.

That's great.  Can't wait to see Mabel in real life - maybe out for the run this Sunday?

Cheers

Thanks for all the nice comments guys, she looks a lot rougher up close. Photographs hide a host of sins. So excited to be finally driving her. I think we might even make the Redhill brunch club run this Sunday Dave!  Shocked

Jeeez I hope she makes it to the top!

Hi Rod,
Mable looks really nice- I don't suppose you've entered the Toowoomba Nationals?

Might see you on Sunday.

Cheers,

No Graham, I didn't enter the nationals, I don't think the old girl is in a state for a trip of that length and wasn't even sure if Id get her on the road in time. I hope to be at the next nationals though Smiley. I wonder if any of the Queensland club members in Toowoomba recognise the car. It used to bear Qld rego 021 TJG. See you Sunday. Grin

Mable's first outing with the FC's and the FC wanabe's.

Enjoyable club run and brunch at Red Hill ACT. Thanks for making us welcome Guys and Gals

Mable had a fail to proceed coming home from the run. No motion lotion!

Oh no - you didn't trust the petrol gauge I hope.  I work on the basis of fill her every time.

We had a good turn out of FE and FCs, plus 3 or so other models.  The two tone Grey FC in the photos was also having its first club run for Rob & Jane.  They have owned it long term and joined the ACT club last year.  The FC has mostly been on the road until a fail to re-register in time resulted in an inspection being necessary, and a few jobs also being required.  Rob & Jane will be attending their first Nationals in Toowoomba.

Cheers

Yes Dave.......I trusted the gauge. Are they any more reliable with a new Rare Spares sender unit installed?

Hows the new sender unit going FCRB26? is it any more accurate?  I purchased one during the week and plan on fitting it over the Easter break. is the fitting easy? it came with a bag of screws and some round things. I guess Ill work it out.

Works great no more flickering needle.
The round things are the sealed washers you will see when you do them up.
Easy 10 minute job.

Thanks Oggz much appreciated. I am really enjoying driving it and even working on it seems like a pleasure rather than work.
