Which carby & jetting is usually fitted to a red 138 motor?
I'm working on a FC which has a BXV 2 fitted evidently from a 179/186
I fitted a venturi reducer which allowed the engine to run ok

The model of carburettor fitted to Red 138 engines was the BXUV-2, the same size as fitted to 149 & 161 engines. The have a 1 3/32" venturi.

The exact part numbers for the 2250 version was 23-3013 (auto) & 23-3019 (manual) for cars up to 6/71. Cars built 7/71 onwards use 23-3054 (auto) & 23-3057 (manual).
