Time to get the other rocker panel on

Cleaned up and test fit and was happy of the first trial fitting

While the bottom of the B pillar was open good time to get in the seat belt mounting plates. The top plate can be installed from the bottom of the B pillar (when rocker panel is removed) , but this is easiest done when the car is on the rotisserie as the plate needs to slide along the out side edge of the B pillar as it goes past the door hing mounting plates. If that Makes sense.
(sorry for the shit pic was late)

Got the rear drums sorted, Machined and painted.

One of the rear springs was pulled apart

Finally got a nice day with out wind or rain to paint some items, The internals of the rocker panel, rear leaf springs, stabilizer bolts, rear spring plates, front end lower arms and front end caps

Hi Graeme  Bloody covid came... I have been wanting to come over for so long and go for a spin with ya in your car.   Will have to do it soon ..  Maybe next week if your around, this week is to crazy for me at the moment.

Light at the end of the tunnel ..  I feel its a very small light at the moment, but this metal work is a very huge part of putting the car back on the ground. And I'm trying my hardest not to rush it and do it right.

Just want to drive it really   Tongue

Started with the top bit

Then the inside

Then I called it a day. I do have the outside piece cut out and marked.  (no photo)

I wish that was the case Rod,  but it seems I have a terrible nack of finding  rust.. Shocked  Cheesy

Another hole fixed.

Pieces are made to close of end of sill

But before I do I want to get some 3M cavity wax in both sides for the final seal of approval  Grin    Comes with one very long tube and 360 degree nozzle

Also started to clean up the inner rear guard like I did on the other side.

now cleaned ready for a paint and to make a patch

Also picked up some parts
1. LOKAR Column shift kit

2. Speed Spares FC Grill badge  LINK> Speed Spare FC grill Badge

Great work Cam.

Badge looks good. Bit cheaper than an original one!
