Well bit of a test fit and things are going well

Just need the add the signal light recess  and give it a good clean up and paint, Then its on to the ignition switch position on the dash and clean up the four gauge mount

Well got the indicator light recess in and now just need to test fit all switches and a coat of filler and paint

Picked up a clean grill, will use a few of my own good chrome bits to finish it off, But very happy with it.

John I wish i could say I used some home made jig and pressed them out ..  but all I did was used the old recess from the cluster I cut up ..  then just filled in the slots with some weld. Drilled the holes out to the correct size. simple as that.

Hey Cam, the link for the video doesn’t open fully, just shows the static photo. Looks good, as you said, once it all comes together it should look great.

Wow how time flys... getting the 120 days warning ..

Well be doing some time on another project John Deere compact which i picked up for a steel.

Enough on that..  Back to the Car
Been working on the passenger side rear seat floor and inner guard.  Cleaned up all the rust in the rails and treated and paint with KBS and cooper weld thru , ready for the floor.

Started looking at the front passenger side floor and a pillar

Also made a good start on the driver side rear floor.. I have also put in a new section in the tunnel between the rear floor sections.

also brought a new welder helmet (high recommend) not sure if that helps with the poor welds much.  but now I can see how bad I'm doing.   Grin Grin

Some in rear guard work , took off the inner layer to find a lot of rust surrounding the lead seam join.

Made a new piece and weld it in..  Will have to do the other side now I know there is that much rust under there.

Finished inner

Nice new out rigger, will add the new mounts when I perform and engine test fit.   New mounts and out rigger from Pete Mallaby, really nice parts
