G'day Gareth,
I've got a bare grey motor crashbox casing that may suit you. It's L490808 (later than L441345) and a G288 date code. It's located in Greystanes, western Sydney. Yours for free provided you pay the postage on it or pick it up. I can bundle it up for a courier if needs be.
PM sent with email contact details.
Cheers, Harv

No drama. The only other L-code box I have here (D month) is a 1958 box too.
Good luck with the search.
Cheers, Harv

Hi Gareth. I have a complete grey motor with gearbox, starter, generator, radiator & hoses. The motor was taken from the Wagon I restored for the Mt Gambier Nats. The vehicle was a one owner, I purchased from a Deceased Estate. I drove the wagon prior to removing this motor. Engine No. L529528 I am situated in Byron Bay NSW. I also have 2 other grey motor gearboxes, front-ends etc,etc,etc,.... which all have to go as I am relocating to a Suburban Block. I can send photos if you are interested. Cheers Kevin. [old-blu ].

Will send photos. I also have a reconditioned block only, rebored , new cam bearings,no mains or head. No L624526. I intended to use this motor in a future restoration, however, we found that the mains had been shimmed at some stage by a "cowboy mechanic". It was easier to do another motor than chase around for mains & then have the bottom end line bored. I have since sold the crank from this motor. The complete motor has matching casting clocks @ 9'0,clock and block L624526 has the casting clock @ 4'0 Clock. Please send me your email address. My contact No is 0266847280. Cheers old-blu.
