For drivability and ease of fitment you probably cant go past the series 1 or 2 auto with a tin sump mod to fit rear manual rack and tin extractors[original are easy to mod closer to the block] . Throw the power steer and AC. and find a alternator bracket and use a VW Passat 6pk1150 or 1155 belt this will make it possible to throw away the tensioners and hear the engine, then a set of alloy timing covers ,polish the manifold and the throttle body ,HPC the extractors and a aluminium red motor radiator with a change to the temp. sender unit and a quality thermo fan and that's it for under the bonnet .Anyway that's what I did with my 2 Vauxhalls .Just what I would do to keep it simple .Cheers Haydn

Just another question I seen a thread on here with a dash cut and moved towards the seat but I can't seem to find it again, does anyone knows who's this car is, I am thinking of doing the same thing so I can get more room under the dash.
Cheers Frankie
