Pearl wheel or happy grandkids on the 25th next month?
Can't handle all 6 in a bad mood at the same time so I'll look for an alternative for now.

The outer material is softer than I imagined so I wonder if anyone really has achieved long term success with repairs.
I had thoughts of pinning & refilling with something compatible (??) but I think the likelihood of flexing & cracking again remains.

Any advice on experiences/successes appreciated.

I may be able to offer some advice or help with this problem . These old wheels do crack and it doesn't seem sensible to put good money on a flash pearling job if they crack after a short period of time .This may be an alternative .See if you can find an old or cracked original wheel and I can do this with it . It may still crack over time but its not a difficult job to refill and finish .

One of these Dave .Just make sure you brace it so its round before you weld it and be sure you weld the FC spokes on the back of the torana wheel or the spokes will look weird when filled
