There is a an Army sedan at Macedon VIV could be a great project -

There are Only " TWO " 1958 -59 FC 217 Army Staff sedans left in existence and this is the only one unrestored and absolutely original in Australia.

Was used as a Military staff car in Melbourne for Top Officers of the day on and off base.

Comes with all Australian Army parts and fittings, 2 way radio amongst other interesting items.

I have original books and manual to go with it.

No lookers.

I want an easy hassel free sale.

Requires some rust repairs to subframe etc but its all original including paint and upholstery and there are definitely NO other 1958 FC Business sedan 217 Army staff cars left to restore.

This is a really early car with low Melbourne build number.

People have said it is the rarest FC Holden in Australia .

Runs well and is complete and comes with some spares.

This is a rare museum piece and should be displayed as is.

Stored in farm shed since bought from department of Defence in 1969.

Has original 1970 rego sticker still on window.

38,000 GENUINE miles.

Clean up and display as a survivor car or fully restore to concourse.

I would leave it as it is.

FC holdens,1 vehicle complets, 1 for spares.
Motor runs well, gear box good, driveable, however breaks need attention.
2 for the price of one. Rust in various places in main vehicle, right floor pan, upper corner of left guard, around air vent plus other spots over the car, all easily repairable, the second  car has vgood chrome.able to make a vgood grill out of both, good front and back bumper bars, doors
My plan was to make one from the two but that has changed.
Advertised elsewhere reserve right to withdraw.

Have converted rust spots and painted to stop spread. Stripped undercarriage of road grime and painted with hammer coat. Still heaps of work to do but will be worth the effort to an enthusiast.
