I am trying to use amber LED's as indicators but am struggling with the flasher unit . I am aware that the LED's use less power so I am trying to use a 4 post resistor .I Have replaced 1w bulb in switch handle with 3w and have installed EK holden directional arrows [lights] on dash with 6w bulbs . All is fine until I pull the headlight switch with the engine running ,then the indicators stop flashing . Would I be correct in assuming that there isn't enough resistance [earthing ] on the knob indicator lamp to power the flasher ? If so is that where my resistor should be ? I assumed that the flasher earthed through all the indicator bulbs, but it seems that it's only through the acorn bulb on the handle . I need ideas . Cheers Haydn

I just bought a flasher can to suit led globes,  they flash electronically and don't rely on current draw

like this
