G'day all, a long shot i know but I'm looking for a good EK wagon bottom tailgate for a mate of mine and i have a straight rust free FC wagon one i'm prepared to swap for it.

Sounds good Dave, do you want to exchange some pics first so we can make sure we are happy with the deal, the one i have is still in the original paint which is worn and faded so you can see that it has no dents and  isn't bogged up or anything.

Found a bit of surface rust when i stripped it so I cleaned up the worst bit with a wire brush on the grinder and as you can see it's nothing serious, there was also a tiny bit under the top rubber but as far as FC tailgates go though it's in great nick for it's age.

I like the look of the FC tailgate.
This is the EK gate, assuming the photos work. You can see a few creases at the bottom near the hinges and the right hand side.
The first photo is the latest after I gave these areas a light sand to be sure there was no rust. Happy to sand more if you would like to see more bare metal.

Looks good to me Dave, my mate will have to get it painted to match his car anyway so a couple of creases are no problem, I'll pm you my address and if you can do the same i'll send it off in the next few days.
