Ok in Charters Towers. Only 137 kms to go.
Thought I'd put up out stats as when I get home I will be to busy to come back on here for awhile.
Last time I didn't finish our trip. So doing it now. Fred can put up his comments when he gets on his computer later today.
Kms to Melbourne 2891.7 kms
Kms around Tassie 2581 kms (this shocked me)
Kms home from Mel 3145.3 kms only because we went the short cut via the Great Ocean Road
All told
8618 kms
petrol 1242.14 ltrs
Cost $2017.40
Oil 1 ltr
Water 750mls
And a dash of break fluid.
20mls rainx
10mls anti fog (thanks Victoria)
Average 6.94 kms per ltr
Average 297.17 kms per day- 29 days holiday (including days parked up in Hobart)

Thanks everyone for an amazing holiday. I have had a wonderful time catching up with old friends and meeting new ones and reading all about everyone's adventures. It's like we are all going on everyone's holidays too.
Talk soon

Amazing stats.
Don't forget to add the 429ks each way on the spirit.
Good to hear you are nearing home.
Regards
Alex

Made it to our car show. Got runner up in one of the classes and best display. Worked hard, stopped at every antique shop on our trip, to add to our huge collection. All I need is an old toaster that works.

Glad you got home safely, shame the big blow bent your vintage Hills Hoist. Mother nature can be so inconsiderate.

We know. Now we are going to have to buy a plastic one that will last about five years tops. Quick plant another tree.
