Hi guys,

As my heading asserts, I'm looking for a wiper knob with the squirter button in the centre.

Hopefully they aren't too thin on the ground - it's every man's dream to have a squirter.

Cheers,

Josh.  Wink

Hi Josh,

I'll have a look at the bits I have lying around and see if I have one. Do you need it before the NATS?

Hello Derrick,

Many thanks - hopefully your search is successful. Yes, I will need it before the nats as I'm incorporating it as part of the engineering process, which is happening now.

Cheers,

Josh.

Does it look the same as an FC one, NES? I'm attempting to have the dash look semi-original.

Thanks NES,

I'd prefer an FC one, maybe this one as a last resort. I'll see if Derrick can find a spare.

Cheers,

Josh

G'day Josh,

There is a polished EJ Holden one on ebay at the moment $50.00.

Jim from CQ Early Holden Parts has it listed.  I have bought stuff off him in the past and has always been good to deal with and his stuff is good as well.

Cheers,
Graeme

Are the knobs interchangeable?  i.e. use an HR switch & button with an FC knob?
Seem to recall reading this somewhere but haven't tried it - fact or fiction?

Thanks Graeme,

I also didn't realise that there's a difference with the buttons between EJ and EH.

A question for the gurus - do all FE/FC wiper bezels have the copper tubing already plumbed in to take rubber hose, or is the tubing only on cars that were optioned with wipers?

Cheers,

Josh.

The knobs are all interchangeable between FE and HR, but not the squirter button. The squirter option on FE to FB is a vacuum switch whereas EK to HR is an electric switch.
If converting a FE FC FB washer button to a EK switch for example, you cut the long thin piece off the FE FC FB plunger in the knob and then shorten the push rod in the EK switch until the plunger just touches it when the knob is installed.
All FE and FC wiper switches have the pipes on the back for the washer accessory

Okay,

I'm now looking for an EK switch with washer button if anyone can help. Not only will I persuade you with cash, but I'll shout you a Cascade Premium at the Nationals, and take you for a spin in my FC   Smiley

Cheers,

Josh.
