Hello

My speedo has packed it in & it's not the speedo cable.  I have too options, get my speedo reconditioned but I believe that this costs over $200 or see if anyone has a working speedo that they would like to sell.

Just wondering if anyone as a working speedo they would like to sell or knows where I might be able to get one?

Cheers

Danielle there are a couple of dashes on Gumtree here in Perth I don't know if the speedo's are ok but they look fairly good.

I know it is a long way you should be able to get something closer I'm sure one of the forum members will be able to help but the Perth option may still come in handy.

Regards

Dear Nick

Wow!   Grin

What kind of condition is the speedo in?  Can you send a photo?  Do you know if it works or will I need to recondition it?

Hello Nick

I'm very interested.  How much would the postage be?  It would be great if you could bubble wrap, then wrap in carboard & express post.  I'm happy to deposit money into your account.  Did you want to message me the total with postage & your bank details so I can transfer the cash?

Cheers

Danielle

hey Danielle, the problem with these speedos' can be the white metal and brass bush[bearing]behind the speedo head where your cable threads on. If this locks your cable breaks, your speedo bounces then stops. This can be remedied by drilling a hole 1/8"just through the alloy[be carefull] in the thread so as it will be filled with grease ,then the cable nut will cover it when tightened.Since doing this around 20 years ago have never had a problem.Prior to this repair broke a lot of speedo cables.

Hey Nick

Bugger  Grin

The trip from the GC to Landsborough would have taken you pretty much past my place.  Oh well.  Sounds like you have been having a fun time.

Just sent you a text message from my mobile.
