DOES ANYONE KNOW OF SOMEONE IN THE BENDIGO/CASTLEMAINE AREA THAT COULD TALK TO ME ABOUT CONVERTING A FE WITH A GREY MOTOR TO A RED OR BLUE MOTOR, OR INFORMATION ABOUT CONVERTING TO A CELICA 4 OR 5 SPEED.

He is referring to Rod Hatfields "Castlemaine Rod Shop", who specialise in manufacturing stuff for modified early Holdens (and other things).  They are at http://www.rodshop.com.au
cheers, RET

Sorry about the short message last night I was having technical troubles. After typing a detailed message I couldn't post the article.Any way now that you are aware of Rod Hatfeild's @ Castslemain There is alternative.I have purchased from the Trading Post for $200 an FE that has HR disc brakes front end,186 red,Celica 4 speed,HQ diff. All this running gear was once certified. So now I will recondition them & place them under my FB.It will still cost me some bucks and I will still have to have the whole system certified by an engineer as the running gear was not standard.Hopefully I will save a few dollars in the process. Hope this helps Chris
